Greenkeeping in the Olympiastadion Berlin. The Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH has trusted our greenkeepers since 2004, who, together with experienced colleagues, ensure that the lawn is of the best quality at all times of the year. This is a challenge, especially in the winter months, because despite the undersoil heating, the pitch is very susceptible to weather-related damage and regenerates more slowly.
Mowing, fertilizing, repairing – maintaining the sports fields not only requires a lot of time and care, but also enormous know-how and sensitivity. The demands are high, after all there is a lot at stake, not only in the Bundesliga but also, for example, in the DFB-Pokal final every spring. During the 2006 FIFA World Cup, there were only short time windows for lawn care. In such extreme situations, it is all the more valuable that we can rely one hundred percent on our specialists. For them, the work at the Olympiastadion Berlin has long been more than just a job: Each of them is wholeheartedly involved. And when concerts or sports events in other disciplines take place – for example the annual athletics festival ISTAF – we are also there.
