Tourism Information and opening hours im September
September will be colorful again with the ISTAF, the Lollapalooza Berlin and two home games of Hertha BSC. Everyone who would like to visit the Olympiastadion Berlin will have to keep some restrictions in mind.
On the weekend of September 9th & 10th, the Lollapalooza Berlin will once again take place in and around the Olympiastadion and Olympiapark Berlin. This year, Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, David Guetta, Macklemore and Jason Derulo will be performing on the five festival stages. Tickets are available via the website of the Lollapalooza: https://www.lollapaloozade.com/tickets. Due to extensive construction and dismantling in and around the stadium, the Olympiastadion will remain closed for individual sightseeing from September 4th, up to and including September 16th. If you still want to discover the stadium on these days, you can take part in one of our public Highlight tours. Tickets for this can be conveniently booked via our online shop.
Even before the Lollapalooza, the ISTAF invisites everyone into the stadium: the traditional athletics event will take place on Sunday, September 3rd. European Champions Gina Lückenkemper (sprint) and Julian Weber (javelin) have already announced themselves. Tickets for the ISTAF are available directly on the website of the ISTAF at https://www.ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/istaf/de/outdoor/channel/shop/index or at the box office on the day of the event.
Two home games of Hertha BSC are coming up in September. On Sunday, September 17th, the team of Eintracht Braunschweig will come to the Olympiastadion. On Saturday, September 30th, FC St. Pauli will be the guests for a match in the evening. Tickets for the home games are available from the Hertha BSC ticket shop.
The Olympiastadion Berlin will be completely closed to tourists on all event days.
The Olympiastadion Berlin is usually open Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. During this time, the stadium can be visited as part of a guided tour or individually. We recommend booking guided tours in advance. If you want to visit the stadium without a guide, you can easily book tickets on site.
Information about the tours we offer can be found on the Guided Tours page or in the aforementioned ticket shop. Except for closing days, we offer our public Highlight tour eight times per day. The tours start at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm in German and at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm in English.
