The DFB-Pokal final is THE celebration of German football. Not only are the participating clubs looking forward to the final for the entire season, the date is also blocked in the calendars of the fans long in advance. “Berlin, Berlin, we’re going to Berlin” chant the supporters, starting in the first round – if you are lucky enough to get your club into the final at the Olympiastadion Berlin, there is usually no way too far to be there yourself.
One month before the big day, the second semifinal determined the finalists. As a result, FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart will face off on May 23 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
The DFB-Pokal Final has been held at the Olympiastadion Berlin since 1985.
