Tourism Information and opening hours in December

Year 2023 is coming to an end. Four more games will kick off in December before football says goodbye for the winter break. With the exception of Christmas Eve, the Olympiastadion Berlin will remain open over Christmas.

Hertha BSC have three home games coming up in December. Starting Saturday, December 3rd, Hertha will face SV Elversberg. On Wednesday, December 6th, Hamburger SV comes to the Olympiastadion for the round of 16 of the 2023/24 DFB Pokal. The last home game of year 2023 will be played on Saturday, December 16th, against VfL Osnabrück. You can get tickets for all three games in the Hertha BSC ticket shop.

For the final groupstage game of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League, Union Berlin will face the Champions League record winner Real Madrid on Wednesday, December 12th. The game is already sold out.

The Olympiastadion Berlin will be completely closed to tourists on all matchdays. There may be restrictions and closures on the days before and after the event.

As mentioned at the beginning, the Olympiastadion Berlin will be closed on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th). The stadium can be visited again on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (Dec. 25th and 26th).

The Olympiastadion is regularly open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this time, the stadium can be visited as part of a guided tour or individually. We recommend booking guided tours in advance. If you want to visit the stadium without a guide, you can easily book tickets on site.

Information about the tours we offer can be found on the Guided Tours page or in the aforementioned ticket shop. Except for closing days, we offer our public Highlight tour five times per day. The tours start at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm in German and at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm in English.
