The high speed cellular data upgrade was especially designed for the stadium and is being mounted by Telekom technicians in the coming days. The goal is to have the system fully operational for the DFB Cup Final on May 30, 2015, so the 75.000 spectators are able to enjoy the heightened bandwidth.

The LTE network will be tested in some areas for the Hertha BSC home match vs. Eintracht Frankfurt on May 16, 2015. Further adjustments can be made to the system by using the data collected during this test phase in order to optimize the service for the upcoming finals of DFB and UEFA.

Guests in the VIP areas have additional service in the form of WiFi hotspots that were upgraded in the summer of 2014, providing an easier way to surf the internet quickly and comfortably.
