However, August is starting off with a minor restriction: on August 1st and 2nd, the visitor centre will remain closed. Access to the stadium is possible via the southern gate at Coubertinplatz. Individual sightseeing is not possible on these two days. If you want to take part in one of our public Highlight tours, you must book your ticket in advance via our online shop, as we cannot offer payment on site.
Meanwhile, the 2. Bundesliga season is starting off and Hertha BSC are celebrating their home premiere on the 2nd matchday on Friday, August 4th against SV Wehen Wiesbaden. On Saturday, August 26th, the 4th matchday will be played against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Tickets for the home games are available in the Hertha BSC ticket shop. The Olympiastadion will remain closed to tourists on both home game days.
The Olympiastadion Berlin is usually open Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. During this time, the stadium can be visited as part of a guided tour or individually. We recommend booking guided tours in advance. If you want to visit the stadium without a guide, you can easily book tickets on site.
Information about the tours we offer can be found on the Guided Tours page or in the aforementioned ticket shop. Except for closing days, we offer our public Highlight tour eight times per day. The tours start at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm in German and at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm in English.
Information regarding parking lots:
The Olympic Place (“Olympischer Platz”) is normally available all day as a free parking lot (permissible weight 2.8 t). Due to the 2023 World Archery Championships taking place on the Maifeld and on the Olympic Place, as well as a leg of the Tour de Berlin, the parking spaces here are not available from July 27th up to and including August 11th and August 27th.
