Volkswagen AG
Since 2012, the Volkswagen AG has been a partner of the DFB-Pokal and has attended all 63 games of each season. It’s no wonder, then, that Volkswagen is also a partner of the Olympiastadion Berlin. Since 1985, the stadium has served as the grounds for the final of the long-standing competition – the game with the greatest atmosphere in German football. Together with the DFB, Volkswagen also created the DFB-Pokal Walk of Fame at the Olympiastadion. The biggest Pokal legends of past and present are immortalised here by their hand and footprints.
Under the motto ‘we drive football‘, Volkswagen bundles their commitment to the nation’s favourite sport. ‘we drive football’ applies to professional as well as amateur football, to mens’ as well as womens’ and children’s football, and to football fans as well as football culture. Why? Football represents emotion, team spirit and fairness. It is global and nonetheless close to the people. These values are part of Volkswagen too.
The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand belongs to the Volkswagen Group, with its headquarters in Wolfsburg. The Group houses ten brands, each with its own individual character: Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, SEAT, Cuprea, ŠKODA, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ducati and Porsche. With around ten million vehicles shipped yearly to customers in 153 countries, Volkswagen is one of the leading car manufacturers in the world.
