WORLD CLEAN UP DAY 2026 Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH took part for the second time

As part of World Clean Up Day 2026, we set out last week together with our stadium caterer, Aramark, to collect rubbish around the stadium grounds.
On the roads, in the car parks and in the neighbouring woodland, we (unfortunately) found quite a lot: cigarette ends, bottles, returnable cups, toiletries, food in jars and tins – even a whole suitcase had simply been carelessly discarded in the countryside.
We collected just under 1,000 kilograms of rubbish and disposed it in the bins kindly provided by our partner, Alba Berlin GmbH.

With this campaign, we aim to set an example for cleanliness and resource conservation in our city. The aim is not only to clean up the immediate area, but also to raise awareness of sustainable behaviour and to set an example of responsible treatment of the environment. We welcome everyone who visits the Berlin Olympic Stadium. But please remember: rubbish belongs in the bins and containers provided for that purpose, not on the ground.
