Without Obstacles

Without Obstacles to the Olympic Stadium in Berlin

Accessibility at the Stadium

Access to the Berlin Olympic Stadium Grounds
All visitors can enter the grounds of the Berlin Olympic Stadium through the East Gate and South Gate. In general, visitors are free to choose which entrance to use. The policy regarding assistance for wheelchair users may vary from one event organizer to another. If we have specific information on this topic, we will make it publicly available on our website in the event details for the respective event.

Stadium Grounds: The entrances to the lower concourse at blocks C/D, G/H, J/K, N, Q/R, and S/T are wheelchair accessible. From there, the seats designated for wheelchair users and the regular seating areas can be easily reached. All wheelchair-accessible seats are located on the inner concourse in the East Curve (sections Q, R, S, T), in the Marathontor area (sections G, H, J, K), on the opposite grandstand in section N, and in the VIP grandstand.

For accompanying persons, stadium seats are provided directly between and next to all wheelchair spaces; these seats can be flexibly adjusted using a rail system.

There are also a sufficient number of concession stands and accessible restrooms in the lower ring. Our VIP areas are also accessible.

Here you can download a map of the lower tier. It shows all the wheelchair-accessible seats, the corresponding access routes to those seats, and accessible restrooms.

Accessibility at the Stadium

We offer a stadium experience for everyone—with or without a disability.

Access for people in wheelchairs is through the East Gate entrance.

People who use wheelchairs are warmly welcome to join our guided tours and visits to the Berlin Olympic Stadium. The five-star stadium is generally barrier-free and accessible to people with limited mobility. However, unrestricted mobility is not always possible within the seating sections; for example, the upper tier is accessible only by stairs.

Guided Tours

If you are a wheelchair user and would like to book a tour, please let us know in advance. The non-public areas can be accessed via elevators, which we’ll be happy to unlock for you. However, the elevators are not available during concert setup and takedown. This is another reason why it’s important for us to be notified in advance of participants who use wheelchairs.

Companions of people with severe disabilities (indicated by code B on the disability ID card) are admitted free of charge, but must still book a “Tour – Companion for People with Disabilities” ticket.

Unfortunately, the Exclusive Technology Tour, the Technology Tour, and the Light Experience Tour are not suitable for people in wheelchairs.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: tour@olympiastadion.berlin or by phone at +49 (0)30/ 306 88 888.

The site map includes, among other things, an overview of all wheelchair-accessible seating areas and the corresponding entrances. During regular business hours, the entrances at K.4, Q.1, and T.4 are open.

Days Without Events
On days without events, the Olympic Plaza is available as a free parking lot 24 hours a day. From there, it’s just a few meters to our visitor center.

Hertha BSC Match Days and Other Major Events
On Hertha BSC match days and during other major events, accessible parking spaces are available in parking lot PO5 and, in some cases, also in PO4. Please note that these parking spaces are subject to a fee. Detailed information regarding the number and availability of these spaces is provided by the respective event organizer upon request.

Public Transit

You can get there either by taking the U2 subway line to the U Olympia-Stadion station or by taking the S-Bahn (lines S3 and S9) to the S Olympiastadion station. At the Olympiastadion S-Bahn station, the elevator is located at the “Flatowallee” exit. From there, you can go directly to the South Gate entrance. The “Trakehner Allee” exit does not have an elevator.

The Olympia-Stadion subway station is accessible. From the subway station, you can reach the main entrance at the East Gate.

You can reach both entrances (East Gate and South Gate) via either the S-Bahn station or the U-Bahn station. Please note that on days when there are no events, only the main entrance at the East Gate is open.
