Berlin, May 21, 2026
The Berlin Olympic Stadium will serve as a stage for the stars during the 2026 concert season: Metallica, Helene Fischer, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Die Toten Hosen, and Lollapalooza will deliver great music this year. But what happens when the modern multifunctional stadium transforms into an impressive open-air venue? How do the stars make their way onto the stage, and what goes on behind the scenes? From May 28 to July 24, the Berlin Olympic Stadium invites all visitors to the new 2026 Summer Concert Tour. Media representatives can join an exclusive tour on the very first day and gain many insights as well as background information. No soon as the DFB Cup final between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart ended than the conversion of the Berlin Olympic Stadium begins, because as early as May 30, Metallica will take the stage with a 360-degree setup right in the middle of the vast arena. By then, infield panels will have been laid on the turf and to protect the running track, the stage will be erected, and numerous trucks will deliver the structures, technology, and equipment. With the Concert Summer Tour through the five-star stadium, all visitors will get an exciting glimpse into areas that are normally hidden from the public. A look back at past concerts will also be featured: How many trucks and buses did
Beyoncé or Pink bring with them, how did Udo Lindenberg get around the smoking ban, and where did Mick Jagger warm up with yoga before the Rolling Stones’ performance?
