U2 AT THE OLYMPIC STADIUM IN BERLIN ON 30 JUNE 2027
U2 ANNOUNCE UK AND EUROPEAN DATES
FOR CARNAVAL DE LUZ PRESENTS:
THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH WORLD TOUR 2027
ON 30 JUNE 2027 AT THE OLYMPIC STADIUM IN BERLIN
WOLF ALICE CONFIRMED AS SUPPORT ACT
Live Nation has announced the UK and European dates for Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth. On this world tour, Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. will return to selected stadiums in 2027 and beyond.
The European leg of the 2027 tour kicks off on 26 April in Stockholm – with Wolf Alice as the support act – and takes the band on to Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Berlin and Milan. Concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London have also been announced. Dates for Spain are to follow shortly. In Germany, U2 will play at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 30 June.
After the first series of concerts sold out immediately, further dates in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires were added due to high demand. The North American dates for 2027 are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
On 25 September, U2 celebrated their 50th anniversary as a band with a lunchtime concert for pupils and staff at their former school, Mount Temple Comprehensive, as well as a special surprise performance on Grafton Street in Dublin. Whilst plans are already underway for the continuation of The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour in 2028, the band is looking forward to their significant return to Ireland. The Edge says: “We can’t reveal too much about the next leg of The Greatest Show On Earth just yet – we’re still working on it. But what we can say is this: we’ll be wrapping up the tour in Ireland. There’s nowhere we’d rather be for this celebration.”
“The Greatest Show on Earth? Now that’s a throwdown. It’s a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody’s life. A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto. Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.” Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry
The new song “The Greatest Show On Earth” is now available. Co-written by U2 and Brian Eno, the track is the third single from “Carnaval De Luz”. It tells the story of lovers struggling to maintain their faith in one another – and in faith itself. Directed by Anton Corbijn and filmed in the Californian desert, the video satirically depicts the band as a religious cult in which the women do all the hard work.
As one of the world’s leading live acts, U2 have continually pushed the boundaries of live performance since their early days – from the groundbreaking ZOO TV Tour in 1991 to 40 sold-out shows at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour marks the band’s return to the stadiums. The show combines an intimate, personal touch with grand scale and draws on the band’s entire catalogue. These are U2’s first stadium concerts since the conclusion of the acclaimed The Joshua Tree Tour on 15 December 2019 at the D. Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai. On that tour, U2 played to almost three million fans worldwide.
Visa is the official sponsor of Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour. On 4 November 2026, from 10.00 to 22.00 local time, Visa cardholders will have access to presale tickets in the EU and the UK, whilst stocks last.

We are delighted to partner with U2 on The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour, to give fans access to the show, and to create special moments together with U2 and the fan communities.”

ABOUT CARNAVAL DE LUZ
Recorded at various locations and produced by Jacknife Lee, the album *Carnaval De Luz* features twelve songs about spirituality, friendship, freedom and resilience in the face of dark, encroaching forces. Sonically, it blends echoes of the band’s most experimental work with focused songwriting in tracks such as ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’, ‘Glorify’ and ‘Midnight Sunshine’, as well as the two-minute-and-35-second-long homage to the audacity of early surf-punk, ‘Silencio’.
The roots of “Carnaval De Luz” stretch directly back to the two surprise-released, critically acclaimed six-track EPs that U2 recorded in early 2026 during the same creative phase. ‘Days of Ash’ and ‘Easter Lily’ followed the liturgical calendar; chronologically, ‘Carnaval De Luz’ precedes them: carnival, the celebration of the flesh, before the renunciation of Lent, the period of reflection and the rebirth of Easter. The album and EPs are linked by the final track on the new album, “Torn”, a duet between Bono and the late Dolly Parton. The country ballad about torn family ties, co-written by U2, Parton and Johnny McDaid, became Parton’s final recorded vocal performance.
“Carnaval De Luz” is being released in the band’s 50th year, during which U2 will release a total of 24 new songs. Brian Eno is credited as a co-writer and on synthesizers for “Go (Carnaval De Luz)”, “The Greatest Show On Earth” and “Can’t Stop Us Now”; Martin Garrix co-wrote “Glorify”, Daniel Lanois plays pedal steel on “Torn”, and Ryan Tedder handled additional production on “Silencio”.
The tracklist: Go (Carnaval De Luz), La Reina, Street Of Dreams, The Mirror Maker (Rosalía), Superficiality, If The World Is At War We Better Not Be, Silencio, The Greatest Show On Earth, Glorify, Midnight Sunshine, Can’t Stop Us Now and Torn (feat. Dolly Parton).
‘Carnaval De Luz’ will be released on 13 November 2026 in formats including a limited-edition deluxe vinyl and CD box set, various limited-edition, coloured and specially designed vinyl versions, standard CD and standard vinyl, and as a digital download.
ABOUT U2
U2 were formed in Dublin in 1976, have toured the world countless times, released 15 studio albums, sold 175 million albums and received numerous awards, including 22 Grammys and Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience Award. In 2005, the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have been nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Original Song: in 2003 for ‘The Hands That Built America’ from *Gangs of New York* and in 2014 for ‘Ordinary Love’ from *Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom*.
Their 14th studio album, ‘Songs Of Experience’ – the counterpart to 2014’s ‘Songs Of Innocence’ – was released in December 2017 and debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. This makes U2 the only band to have topped these charts in four consecutive decades. This was followed in 2018 by the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour. The acclaimed stadium tour, The Joshua Tree Tour, subsequently took U2 to New Zealand, Australia and Japan, as well as to Singapore, Seoul, Manila and Mumbai for the first time. In November 2019, the band released the song “Ahimsa” in collaboration with A. R. Rahman.
In 2020, SiriusXM and U2 launched the U2 X-Radio station. *Songs Of Surrender*, a collection of 40 newly recorded and reinterpreted songs from the band’s catalogue, was released on 17 March 2023 and topped the album charts in the UK and Ireland, amongst other places. Most recently, U2:UV’s *Achtung Baby Live At Sphere* opened the Sphere in Las Vegas with 40 critically acclaimed shows.
On 18 February 2026, the six-track EP *Days Of Ash* was released, featuring five new songs and a poem as an immediate response to current events and inspired by people fighting on the front line for freedom. This was followed on Good Friday by ‘Easter Lily’, a second, standalone six-track EP that explores friendship, loss, hope and renewal from a more personal and private perspective.
“Carnaval De Luz”, U2’s 16th studio album and their first album of new material in nine years, will be released on 13 November 2026 via Island Records. The “Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth” world tour is produced by Live Nation Global Touring.
