Sportmetropole

To ensure that Berlin remains a world-class city for elite sports in the future, the Sportmetropole Berlin initiative was founded in 2009. It promotes the German capital nationally and internationally as THE metropolis for sports. This collaboration—unique in Germany—brings together key decision-makers from Berlin’s sports and business communities:

Berlin’s top sports clubs and largest sports facilities, the Berlin Olympic Training Center, the Landessportbund e.V., the BERLIN MARATHON, the Senate Department for the Interior and Sports, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), Berlin Partner, and visitBerlin, which also centrally coordinates the initiative’s activities.
