Stadium Band

Opened just in time for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the chapel at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium is considered one of the world’s most beautiful places of worship of its kind. Designed as a golden oval and adorned with Bible verses in 18 languages, this ecumenical space offers visitors from around the world a place of peace and reflection. The chapel is located in the heart of the Berlin Olympic Stadium: in the main grandstand area, directly between the Players Lounge and the players’ tunnel on Level -4, just a few meters from the field.

Since the 2006–07 season, the chapel has served as a source of strength for athletes and fans alike during Hertha BSC’s home games. Players from various national teams have visited this prayer room to gather strength before decisive moments on the field. The stadium chapel at the Olympiastadion Berlin serves as a Christian place of worship for athletes, as well as for people who wish to celebrate a wedding or baptism there. A custom-built organ provides the musical accompaniment for the services.
