Important Rules and Safety
To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time here, there are a few rules at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
These rules are in place to protect all guests.
Here you’ll find exactly what you’re allowed to bring into the stadium.
And here you’ll also find information on where to get help if things get too overwhelming for you at the stadium.
Bags and Backpacks (How big can they be?)
Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the stadium. There will be security checks at the entrance.
- Small bags are allowed. For example, a small handbag or a small pouch.
- The bag must not be larger than a large sheet of paper (DIN A4 size).
- If your bag is too large, you’ll need to check it at a drop-off point outside the stadium. There is a small fee for this.
Food and Drink (What Can You Bring In?)
You are not allowed to bring your own drinks into the stadium.
- Glass or plastic bottles and cans are not allowed at the entrance.
- A small snack to satisfy a minor hunger (such as a granola bar or an apple) is usually allowed.
- Exception for Health Reasons:
Do you need certain foods or medications because of an illness? Please bring a doctor’s note. Then you will be allowed to bring these items with you.
Help and Safety at the Stadium
At large events, it’s often very loud in the stadium. And there are a lot of people there. That can be exhausting and scary.
- We won’t leave you on your own: If you need help or feel unwell, please speak to a steward right away. You can recognize the stewards by their colorful vests.
- There are paramedics and doctors at the stadium who can help you right away.
- There are also quiet spots in the stadium if you need a break from all the commotion.
